STI Carrier Account Executive

Atlanta, GA

The Carrier Account Executive (CAE) is primarily responsible for new client acquisition while maintaining and growing the existing STI client base. The CAE will develop and implement a targeted dark fiber and colocation marketing plan focused on telecom carriers, content providers, and large enterprises. The CAE position will work with internal SoCo subsidiaries, Marketing, Accounting, Outside Plant, Information Technology, and others to facilitate STI business plan objectives. The CAE will attend industry conferences to prospect and develop long-term relationships with qualified clients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of wholesale telecom sales experience to telecom carriers, content providers, and large enterprises
  • Proven track record of long sales cycle and revenue generation successes
  • Demonstrated ethical, creative, and client-centered relationship skills
  • Ability to understand client's key objectives and how STI’s products and services can contribute to client's success
  • Frequent daily travel and moderate overnight travel

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acquisition of new clients through networking and prospecting
  • Maintain and grow existing STI client base
  • Follow all internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with SO/STI requirements/policies
  • Participate in telecom conferences to promote STI sales efforts
  • Build long-term customer relationships, identify client opportunities, and negotiate bi-lateral, wholesale contracts
  • Meet or exceed STI’s financial and business objectives
  • Build and leverage cross-functional relationships to accomplish sales goals
  • Prioritize sales goals and strategies based upon STI business objectives
