Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I created a job listing and saved a draft, but I can’t figure out how to activate it or where to pay!

A: After creating your job, you must hit ‘Publish’.  You will then be able to click on the activation link, which will take you to Paypal.

Q: I don’t want to pay by credit card, or I need an invoice or other paperwork.

A: You can prepay for a block of listings via check or ACH bank transfer and be invoiced if you prefer.  Just contact the webmaster.

Q:  If I post a job and need to make a correction, what do I do?

A:  Log in to your account and go to the Jobs Listing page, then select Edit under the item in question.  When complete, click Update.  If your job is currently active it will stay that way, no worries.

Q: I filled my job, can I completely rewrite the job listing I have up there for a new one?

A: Yes, the slot is yours for the duration you paid for and you can change it to whatever you wish as long as you stay within the terms of service.

Q: Can I use markup in my job listing, and links to my website?

A: Markup is available via the buttons at the top of the WYSIWYG editor, including links. You are welcome to use them as long as you stay within the terms of service.

Q: Can I include my logo as part of the job listing?

A: Yes, the last entry in the job creation page is for your logo, please take advantage of it.

Q: I paid and my job says it is active, but it’s not showing up on Telecom Ramblings!

A: Give it an hour or two, there are caches that must be refreshed.  Your 30 days is padded with additional time to compensate for any delay.  If it still doesn’t show up, contact the webmaster and he will intervene manually.

A: Hopewell Investments is the corporate entity (LLC) that owns and operates the Telecom Ramblings website.

Q: I accidentally activated my job multiple times, and I need a refund.

A: No problem, just contact the webmaster and he will intervene manually within 24-48 hours – usually sooner.

Q: I want to post a job, but I need to pay by check or some other method.

A: Other options are available, you should contact the webmaster via email.
